The bottom of your foot has a type of tissue called the plantar fascia. Sometimes this tissue can become tight and irritated, causing intense pain from the heel along the sole of the foot.
This can be hard to resolve when you are not able to rest the area.
A common cause of heel pain is irritation of the tendon called the tibialis posterior. This causes acute pain in front of the heel of the foot, causing pain on weight bearing.
This is often aggravated by wearing very flat soled shoes.
Here at Midlands Physiotherapy we have helped 1000's of patients just like you with our 3 Step Plantar Fasciitis Program
Following a comprehensive assessment of your injury, our knowledgable and experienced therapists will carry out a treatment plan tailored to your specific circumstances, injury and goals.
Our committed team use a very much hands on treatment approach to get you out of pain and back on the road to recovery.
This is likely to include but may not be limited to:
With the goal of relieving the strain on the muscles, tendons and ligaments.

Midlands Physiotherapy invested in Shockwave therapy to provide the latest treatment technology for our patients with heel pain and plantar fasciitis.
Each treatment aims to gently and progressively get your foot and ankle moving again without pain as quickly as possible. Our plantar fasciitis program involves:
This allows you to get back to normal and start doing the things you love.
Struggling With Plantar Fasciitis Pain?
Shockwave therapy is also known as as radial pressure shockwave therapy. It is a newly available treatment for the management of pain caused by various musculoskeletal disorders and injuries.
A shock wave is an intense, short energy wave that moves faster than the speed of sound. This energy wave is used to target painful areas in musculo-skeletal tissues. The energy accelerates the healing process by switching on the body’s own healing mechanisms.
These healing mechanisms have often been interrupted when the body gets into a an inflammatory cycle such as in a case of tendonitis.

"We were very impressed and relieved that you were able to diagnose the problem, within a few short minutes, as opposed to the NHS which took 9 months to do the same on a previous occasion!
You were able to explain the cause and effects of this problem in a way that was easy to understand and you demonstrated the exercises to do very clearly."
Tersia Ingels - WAKSTAR LTD
I have always found you to be a true professional with a genuine manner and I also thank you for the time you have given me personally over the years. I have no hesitation in recommending you as a conscientious, reliable and committed individual."
Karen Brady, Vice Chairman of West Ham United F.C.
"I just wanted to write a short letter to say thank you so much for the excellent treatment that I recently received. Though my competitive playing career is well and truly over, I still pride myself on a reasonable level of performance and of course have to demonstrate shots when coaching my pupils. Not only did you quickly diagnose my condition, you proceeded to sort it out very quickly as well."
Grahame Glenister, PGA Professional
